Brett joins Jacobszoon and Associates with extensive experience in Geographic Information Systems (GIS), remote sensing, imagery analysis, geospatial product finishing experience, project management, accounts payable, and client relations. He is a geospatial expert, Brett originally integrated geospatial analytical capabilities into our everyday resource planning and management activities. He was a remote sensing analyst for a Portland, Oregon based company supporting a variety of natural resource, utilities, hydrology, and urban infrastructure projects throughout the Pacific Northwest. Brett has gained experience working with advanced airborne sensors including LiDAR and HD video.
Before returning to the West coast, Brett spent two years supporting the United States Department of Defense (DoD) national security and safety of aeronautical navigation missions in Saint Louis, MO. As a Geospatial Analyst, Brett routinely used GIS and remote sensing software with satellite imagery to produce and extract data layer features preserving airport and air space navigational safety for airfields globally.
Prior to working in the Department of Defense, Brett spent two years supporting flight operations for a major aviation firm based in Hillsboro, Oregon.
Immediately after graduating college Brett worked for a forestry consulting firm in Arcata, California. During this time he supported land management and resource utilization projects with geographic, archeological, and legal source data research and analysis. Brett also developed and maintained the client GIS database, digital maps, GIS layers, and geographic computer files.
Brett holds a Master of Aeronautical Science from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University and Bachelor of Arts Geography from Humboldt State University.
